MELINA KALYVIANAKI

MELINA KALYVIANAKI

MADE IN ATHENS

Born in 1996 and based in Athens, Melina Kalyvianaki is a visual artist whose work delves into the relationship between humans, nature, materiality, and memory. Using clay, painting, and digital prints, she explores themes of erosion and regeneration, with clay acting as an organic archive—capturing decay while simultaneously giving birth to new narratives. Her compositions, often inspired by the forms of herbs, invite a dialogue on the properties that shape us. By consciously blending traditional and contemporary techniques, her work highlights the delicate balance between deterioration and transformation.
