MANSION OF THE DUCHESS OF PLAISANCE

A mansion in the style of a country villa, also known as ‘Villa Ilissia’, built between 1840-1848 according to the designs of architect Stamatis Kleanthis for the Duchess of Plaisance, Sophie de Marbois-Lebrun. Since 1930, it has housed the Byzantine and Christian Museum.
