MADE IN ATHENS 

Christiana Vardakou is a graduate of Chelsea College of Arts in London with a degree in textile design (BA Textile Design). Specializing in dyes and inspired by the “Slow Design” movement, where sustainability, recycling, and Emotionally Durable Design take center stage, Christiana started the first brand in Greece exclusively dedicated to fabric dyeing with plants.
After traveling to 7 Asian countries to learn more about traditional techniques, she decided to create her own workshop, where one can attend classes in batik, plant dyes, bundle dyeing, and weaving. Additionally, in this space, Christiana and her team create clothing, home objects, and accessories and collaborate with other designers, brands, hotels, museums, etc.
Visiting the studio/showroom allows one to see the entire production process. The handmade creation process is expressed in every piece. From selecting fabrics, dyeing with Greek herbs and plants, to batik and weaving on the studio’s loom, each product is unique and bears the personal character of the creator.
