The architectural atelier A&O Architects was founded in 2020 in Athens, when award-winning Spanish architect Angeles Mira creatively joined forces with curator and interior architect Orestis Karydas. Since then, they have been based in Koukaki, breathing new life into an old ground-floor shop and transforming it into a landmark of their neighborhood. Their projects, known for their artistic character and strong cinematic aesthetic, create worlds and tell stories—always embracing the concepts of luxury and functionality. They view architecture as a social responsibility towards aesthetics, striving to listen to the environment and respect people and their needs. A&O Architects specialize in restoration studies of private and public buildings with historical significance, including neoclassical, eclectic, and mid-century (1930s–1950s) architecture. They also undertake large-scale luxury private residences and high-end hospitality projects in Greece and abroad.
